Water Park Located at Water Park Road in Nankai District, Water Park covers an area of 164.6 hectares, 100 hectares of which are claimed by water. Opened in 1951, it has developed into a big comprehensive park. Lands on the north and south of the park are separated by the vast expanse of water in the middle. In the water are 11 isles which are linked by bridges. The water is divided into East Lake, West Lake and South Lake. Visitors can enjoy boating on the lakes. A long corridor winds its way from the east gate of the park to the Children's Amusement Park which is equipped with such items as a mini-train and merry-go-round. A walk along the bank planted with peach trees and willows leads the tourist to the Culture Corner where there are an alfresco theatre, a reading room, a swimming pool, a skating rink and waterside pavilions.
Another attraction in the park is the Ten Thousand-Buddha lsland where there are 36 spots that illustrate the Buddhist world view with the reconstruction of scenes from Buddhist stories.
Tianjin Amusement Park Tianjin Amusement Park covers an area of 550,000 square metres and is one of the largest amusement parks in China. It boasts 44 well equipped amusement facilities: a swimming pool built with slides, a roller-coaster that runs over a route formed into two circles, an Arabian Flying Carpet, a high-speed revolving wheel and a raging river, etc.
