Location
Situated in He Bei District, Da Bei Temple is on the east bank of San Cha Kou where is a confluence of Zi Ya River, South Canal and Haihe River. The scope is from Qi Ma Road to Zhong Shan Road in the south, and from Yuan Wei Road in the east to Li Gong Ci Street in the west. The site area is 366,000 sqm.
Background
Being one of important Buddhism temple in China, Da Bei Temple was built in Shun Zhi Era, Qing dynasty, attracting large amount of pilgrims to come here to worship Buddha and a continuous stream of visitors each year. Existing buildings such as No. 2 Hospital, Tianjin Fine Arts College, Vanke Holiday Inn should be reserved.14 plants and large quantities of dwelling house will be relocated. Additionally, there exits some buildings under construction and some approved to build.
Planning Intention
The area shall be a culture and trade zone full of religious characters. Architectures and business shall the components of the area that is accessible to Shan Cha River Confluent opposite.
Contents of Construction
The Da Bei Temple must be preserved. The commercial building, restaurant, entertainment,leisure facilities and so on are recommended along the river banks and around the temple.
