Location

Located in Gua Jia Temple Area of Hexi District in Tianjin, its scope is: from New Wei Di Road in the north (Guanghua Bridge) to Chun Yang Street in the south, and from Haihe River alignment in the east to Nan Bei Street in the west. Its site area is 415,000sqm while the area for redevelopment is 195,900 sqm.

Background

The area is of huge redevelopment potentialities. The qualities of existing buildings are poor and some have been demolished.“Gua Jia Temple”in Wei Di Road is a famous temple in Tianjin.

Planning Intention

Haihe Water Sport World will be a sport center that fully embodies the features of Tianjin waterfront with environment elegant and transport convenient. With the redevelopment for the poor and shallow bungalows in the area, the function of this area is rebuilt. The whole area will be developed together by the construction and planning for Haihe water sport center. Space of the waterfront is reasonably organized, natural water features are enforces as well. Symbol building of Haihe Sport Center, skyline and landscape along the River, open space and parks, water crusiers should be considered in urban design and environmental landscape planning.
