The family
It has been six years since Lulita and her husband settled down in Tianjin. Now they had a home in TEDA and lived a Chinese-style life just as the common people of China.
Lulita and Blair come from Canada. Their jobs in Tianjin are teachers in International School. In their opinion the right words that can be used to describe Tianjin are"Passionate","kind", and "comfort". What impressed them are the huge amount of bicycles in the city and its large population. A piece of advice they gave Tianjinese is"Don't litter!"
Look! What a family!

Lulita and her daughter
It is a family of six, the father, the mother, the elder daughter–Thea, and her three brothers–Kyle, Tyler and Kobi.
The 14-year-old Thea is an inward girl, but she audaciously made her decision to choose modern dance. On the contrary Kyle and Tyler was wild about outdoor activities.
At last I will say that actually our leading man is the 1-year-old Kobi. Although he could not say anything except "I love you", he is a Chinese people with his Chinese nationality, because he was born in Tianjin and expected to grow up and get married in Tianjin too.
When being called "LaoWai", their first reaction is unfair, because they had been in Tianjin for 6 years. Besides they are determined to stay in Tianjin forever.
Lulita: It is comfortable for us to live here.

Lulita and little Kobi
In a sunshine day, we luckily got the chance to call on Lulita and her dear family. A smiling face was the most pleasant gift that Lulita could give. When we were told by Lulita that her Chinese-speaking level was "very good", we tried to talk with her in Chinese. But her staring beautiful eyes will indicate you that "you'd better talk me in English". Still she was proud of her Chinese because except 1,2,3, his husband could say nothing in Chinese.
The lovely Lulita knew it clearly that it is important to learn Chinese, because she witnessed the rapid development in China.
Lulita has been in many different countyies. After those year's vagrancy, the reason why she and her husband made their decision to settle in Tianjin is the kind and passionate Tianjinese and the satisfied job in TEDA International School.
One of the fascinated game for Lulita in the party is to play the Chinese "Ma-jiang Pai"(a kind of Chinese game with four people) with her friend. Food is always the best friend of human. There is no exception for our dear Lulita, Chinese meal became her favorite. It really disappointed her when hearing people say "Hey! Look at that 'LaoWai'". She hoped that one day she could be "aunt"by those children, which means a kind of identification for her as a real Chinese people.
Blair: There is always something new waiting for your discovery
Blair is a man that can make you relax, mature while childish. He was very satisfied with his living condition here in Tianjin. There are always new changes in this city, new stores and new restaurants, which gave him a feeling of happiness and altering.
Just like his wife, Blair didn't like to be called "LaoWai". He said that when people stayed in Canada for more than two years, they are seen as local people. But after six years in Tianjin, he was still a "LaoWai" in Tianjinese's eyes. The question lingering in his heart was that how many years would it need for him not to be deemed as a "LaoWai".
He also gave his thanks for the tolerance of Tianjinese. Although his poor English ability, he got no pressure from Tianjinese.
Blair was a man with a lot of interests. Every winter he will lead the whole family to a Ski Resort in Beijing. It rather an enjoy for him to ski under the blue sky. He is a sports fan. When Real Madrid came to China, he and his family rushed to Beijing. He is also a fan to Yao Min, and cheered for him when he played in Tianjin. He said that Yao Min is our proud”.
