"I am very happy to be the winner of the BBC competition" Jia Ning, Shi Jia Zhuang

The BBC Learning English online partner competition in March 2006 offered the fantastic prize of a top-of-the-range lap top computer. 12 thousand people all over China entered the competition.

40 runners-up won BBC T-shirts and went forward to the final draw. In the draw, one lucky winner was chosen at random - Mr Jia Ning from Shi Jia Zhuang. Producer, Lilly Yang, spoke to him on the phone.

BBC:There were thousands of Chinese students who entered into the BBC Competition, and the lucky top prize winner is Jia Ning. So who is he?Where is he from? How does he feel about winning the prize? Earlier I spoke with Jia Ning on the phone.

贾宁："I am Jia Ning from Shi Jiazhuang, China.I'm 35. I'm very happy to be a winner of the BBC competition."

BBC:Now that you have got the BBC laptop, what are you going to do with it?

贾宁：首先感谢BBC能给我这次机会让我获得这个大奖，获得奖之后我可以用这台电脑学习英语，我的英语水平不是很好，可以用它更好的学习英语。同时可以处理一些工作上的事情。

BBC:Can you tell us which website you enter the competition on?

贾宁：是通过湖北的荆楚网

BBC:What area that you find most difficult in terms of learning english?

贾宁：学习英语中，我感觉最难的是英语口语、英语对话，中国人书写和阅读的能力比较强，但是会话的能力是比较弱的。而会话的能力是最能体现一个人的英语水平的，就是在这一方面希望得到更多的加强。

BBC:Now that you have said the speaking is the most difficlut area for the Chinese learners of english, then how are you going to improve on that?

贾宁：我要多上BBC的网页，多练习口语。也是希望BBC以后多举办这种交流、互动活动，让比较纯正的英语在中国能够得到一个很好的推广。
