An agreement on quickening the remove of the new harbor dockyard was sighed by Tianjin Binhai new area management committee, China shipping heavy industry group company and Tanggu people’s government. Pi yansheng, standing commissioner of Tianjin Municipal Committee and director of Binhai new area management committee and Wu Qiang, vice-chairman of China shipping heavy industry group attended the signing ceremony. The remove of Tianjin new harbor dockyard, the largest shipbuilding and ship repair base in north China, will start in Tanggu Lingang industry district of Tianjin Binhai new area in the last half year. When the new base is put into production, the yearly shipbuilding capacity will be 3 million tons and 200 ships will be repaired to realize 20 billion yuan sales revenue with 3 billion yuan tax. The signing of the agreement indicates that Tianjin’s largest equipment making base has been carried into execution and it has established stable basis for the remove of Tianjin new harbor dockyard.

To build Binhai new area as a modern making and development base, north China’s international shipping center and international logistics center has been listed into Tianjin’s ‘11th five-year plan’.
