It would emerge cases of working in Beijing and living in Tianjin or vise versa. Regarding to this, related experts pointed out that the interaction between the two could be seen in terms of business functions and it is nearly impossible to go back and forth the two places in short time.
Qin Hong, deputy director of Policy Research Center of the Ministry of Construction figured out that after completion of the inter-city railway, a Beijing-Tianjin ¡°half hour economic circle¡± would take shape. But she estimated that it is impossible to work in Beijing but live in Tianjin and vise versa until 2008, because the gap between the two cities¡¯ house prices are not so large to stir up people to live and work in two places. In contrast, interactions between them will embody more on business functions. As Tianjin owns more ports and abounds in talent resources compared with Beijing, its business cost would be mush lower.
Head of Residential Industry Chamber of Commerce affiliated to All-China Association of Industry & Commerce Nie Meisheng pointed out that it is the general trends to functionally interact between the two cities. The restrictive factor is the traffic and the Beijing-Tianjin Inter-city railway will break the bottleneck. Since that time, the concept of living in registered regions will be faded from people¡¯s mind, whereas living in which city should depend on its quality of life. Of course it needs a correspondingly longer time.
