The Introduction

Tianjin Jinnan District is one of four suburbs around Tianjin. It lies the south bank of the low reaches of Haihe River and located in the southeast of Tianjin. It is 420.72km total area square and and of them there are 220,000 acres arable lands, the population here gets to 420,000 and there are 8 towns --which are Xianshuigu, Gegu, Xiaozhan, Shuanggang, Xinzhuang, Shuangqiaohe, Beizhakou and Balitai, and an Evergreen Office in the city and 173 administrative villages.

A long history

　Jinnan District is land got from the sea, and there are still two shell bars left here and they are the witness of the history and already protected as national natural protection area. Fish and salt industry are mainly industries of generations here. The special fold culture is famous for Nine Bridges and eighteen Temples, Nianhui and Huahui of Gegu town in the world. Xianzhan town is well knowned for its rice and also the general Yuanshikai. Here ever had many celebrities such as Hong academics researcher Zhou Ruchang, film artist Tianfang, opera performer Tian Lianyuan and writer Xinye. Also there were lots of national degree labor models appeared here firstly from the establishment of China, they are Zhang Yulun, Zhang Fengqin, Jiang Deyu and Li Jishun. After that there were more famous labor models and entrepreneurs familiar to us.

The development of economics

　1. With long history on agriculture here is the origin of well known Xianzhan Rice, famous for its kinds of fish and byproducts. Furthermore, Xiaozhan Rice had got the identity trademark under the approval of the National Industrial & Commercial Administration Bureau. The agriculture here has formed a kind of magistral texture as 'one excellent and three special ones'--which are one excellent Xiaozhan Rice, three characteristic vegetable, poultry and aquatic products. Jinnan Reservoir is middle plain reservoir with the capacity of 30,000,000m3. There are many kinds of important projects such as Tianjin Jinnan National Agriculture Science & Technology Park, Water Products Breed Aquatics Model Park on banks of Haihe River, Ecological agriculture Model Park Around the Reservoir, Gangtian Vegetable Mechanization Science & Technology Model Park and so on are established or need to be completed, all these had got good achievements on economic and social profit. Risi- Xiaozhan Rice, Shengnong -seeds of vegetables and Hongcheng- seeds of vegetables are well known products of agriculture here.

　2.The enterprises of villages and counties have become the cornerstone of the economics. There are also kinds of industries as environment protection, infrastructure, transportation vehicles, metal products, machine and electroform, garments, food and chemical.

　3.Services industry get a completed development those years, it includes many fields and different aspects. There were 16,500 enterprises with employee 47,000, they got the net profit of 16.4 billion Yuan which accounted for 38.8 percent of GDP. For instance, He Village is one of the ten biggest wholesale markets.

　4. Foreign trade and economic cooperation got good grade. The foreign enterprises realized sale value of 22billion Yuan, 1.26billion Yuan tax, and gained foreign reserves US$1.8 billion, and became the main industries of Jinnan area. The enterprise of villages and counties gained gross profit 10 billion Yuan by export and got the foreign reserves US$3,300,000. All these promoted the progress of the opening and reformation of Jinnan area.
