Zhang Jun expresses the hope that the visit can be used as an opportunity to forge across-the-board economic partnership between TEDA and the State of Illinois, including cooperation between the chambers of commerce, industry associations and the cooperation in trade and agencies.

The State of Illinois is in the west of the United States. Chicago is the biggest city of Illinois and the third largest city of the US. It is also the largest industrial center in the area of Five Grand Lakes, boasting the nation's largest steel bases and meat processing base. It also leads the country in sectors like agricultural machinery, transportation machinery, petrochemical, electric motors, airplane engines and printing.
