During the Tianjin Investment Fair this year, various provinces, cities and the districts and counties in Tianjin will take advantage of the fair to held a series of activities. At present, there are more than 40 proposals concerning the holding of such activities, outdoing the last fair in terms of the number of the activities.

With the constant improvement of the service functions of the fair, the enhancement of actual effect, and the increase of brand reputation, various departments and sectors in Tianjin as well as various provinces and cities at home are active to register for participation, and have proposed their requests to hold such activities at the fair such as news release, project recommendation, and business promotion and investment invitation. The activities this year are characterized by the following:

Firstly, there will be many key activities at high level. During the fair, leaders of relevant ministries/commissions of the country and various provinces, cities directly under the State Council, and the mayors of major cities along Pan-Bohai rim will be invited to convene seminars on deepening cooperation among the provinces and cities along Pan-Bohai rim. The seminars will be focused on the deepening of regional economic cooperation, actualization of harmonious win-win development, summary the achievements on regional cooperation, and exchange of the concepts on deepening cooperation and the focus of cooperation; in addition, top 500 enterprises under the central government will be invited to hold seminars apart from BNA project recommendation and policy introduction, coastal development and modern service projects recommendation, and grand signing ceremonies for investment invitation projects.

Secondly, various districts, counties and enterprises’ active participation. Various districts and counties are making positive efforts to take advantage of the fair to recommend regional cooperation projects, and expand the channels for business promotion and investment invitation. Specifically, Hexi District will hold 8 activities at the fair; Hedong District and Nankai District will hold the Special introduction on development planning and investment invitation projects, recommendation of business promotion and investment invitation, and other activities. Various large-sized key enterprises in the city will publicize them and promote their fast development and prosperity by means of such activities as Chinese urban planning and commercial real estate investment and financing cooperation forum and mechanical & electrical town project recommendation.

Thirdly, rich contents of activities of other provinces and cities. Various provinces and cities have taken the fair as an ideal stage for foreign publicity and recommendation as well as investment invitation and cooperation. So far, many provinces and cities including Zhejiang, Inner Mongolia, Hainan, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Guangxi, and Dalian have proposed their requests to hold such activities. For instance, Shaoxing Municipal Government will hold the new release for the home of Chinese silk—Shaoxing branded products trade fair, Hohhot Inner Mongolia will hold the introduction to investment environment, and Ningxia economic and trade delegation will hold news release.
