According to Wang Shumin, assistant to GM of Tianjin Metro Co., Ltd., the new city card is different to the city card launched previously. The previous card can only enjoy 10% off when enjoying metro service. 80 yuan money in the new card allows 40 times of taking in 30 days. At the same time, taking bus with the card can enjoy 5% off.

Points of attention of the new city card:

Function and scope of use: the card can be used on buses (Tianjin and Tanggu), metro, taxi and for paying tap water fee.

Card application and place of charging: all outlets of the Bank of Communications, all stations of Metro Line 1 and Tanggu Public Transport Center; in addition, the card is sold and charged in all bureaus and offices under Tianjin Post Bureau.

Mode and sum of recharge: the charge unit is 10 yuan, the maximal stored value is no more than 1000 yuan.Mode of billing: after card punch, the payable sum shall be deducted from the balance of the city card. Discount: 5% off can be enjoyed for taking bus and 10% off for taking metro.

Whether overdraft is allowed: when the balance in the card is more than 0 but not enough to pay the fare, one overdraft is allowed. The overdraft will be automatically deducted in the next recharge.Term of use: the valid period is two years since the day of purchase. If no recharge is made in two years in a row, the renewal formalities shall be handled at the recharging outlet and the original balance in the card is still valid.

Points of attention: presently, the city card can only be used in paying tap water fee at the business hall of tap water.
