The total length of the Tianjin Port 250 000 tonnage navigation channel is 30 km and the bottom width of the channel increased from 211 m to 315 m. After the accomplishment of the project, all vessels in Bohai Bay can access to Tianjin Port, having great importance for building Tianjin Port into a first-class one. Tianjin Navigation Channel Bureau has been serving Tianjin Port for 110 years. After undertaking the 250 000 tonnage navigation channel project, the bureau guide the dredger with GPS system, but detect the change of seabed above 10 m under water with multi-beam sounding system, which has greatly increased the construction precision. In less than one year, 22 technological innovation achievements come out in the projects. In addition, the utilization rate of the dredgers is above 95% and the utilization rate of the three-year-old Jinhangjun 109 is 100% for five years in a row.
