Yu Rumin, deputy to the 1st Session of the 11th NPC, deputy secretary of the Work Committee of Binhai New Area of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, secretary of the CPC Committee and chairman of Tianjin Port (Group) Co, Ltd, said cadres and staff of Binhai New Area are making great efforts and taking effective measures to improve the independent Innovative capabilities, boost the development of industrial function zones and speed up the development of Binhai New Area.

Binhai New Area will implement the “three-year program on independent innovation” and plan to establish 12 state-level R&D platforms and 20 ministerial and provincial-level R&D transformation centers, introduce and set up 10 R&D institutes and carry out 50 important hi-tech industrialization projects. The Binhai New Area is further optimizing the industrial structures, accelerating the establishment of a batch of industrial bases and forming the industrial layout based on the state-level and municipal-level industrial Parks. In this year, 65 large projects will be put into operation, including Airbus A320 and Aluminum Limited of Canada.

Yu Rumin said Binhai New Area would carry out the three-year program on independent innovation to fully improve the innovative capabilities and enhance the scientific development.

The Binhai New Area should establish 12 state-level scientific innovative platforms. And other 20 ministerial and provincial-level R&D transformation centers and 50 important hi-tech industrialization projects will be established in this year to facilitate the rapid development of a batch of hi-tech enterprises.

Binhai New Area strengthens the development of infrastructure of various industrial function zones

To accelerate establishment of a batch of industrial bases

Yu Rumin said the Binhai New Area would positively boost the development of industrial functional zones and accelerate the establishment of a batch of industrial bases, including electronic information, automobile, petrochemical and marine chemical, modern pharmacy, new material and new energy bases, in this year in order to strengthen the advantages of Binhai New Area.

The Binhai New Area will further enhance the transport networks of Dongjiang Bonded Port Area and guarantee the successful implementation of some important projects in this year. Great efforts will be made to speed up the construction of infrastructure of Phase II Tianjin Airport Industrial Park and develop the Modern Service Model Zone, the Aviation Industry Park, the Hi-tech Innovative Park and the Aviation Logistics Park. The Binhai New Area will work hard to construct the infrastructure, such as ring roads. It also strives to advance the progress of creating lands through filling the sea. A batch of hi-tech enterprises will be attracted into the Binhai New Area. The surrounding infrastructure of Sino-Singapore Eco-City will be further improved and great efforts will be made to make preparation for the initiation of construction of Eco-City in July.
