(tradingmarkets)India-based outsourcing service company Tata Consultancy Services announced plans today to set up a new global service delivery center in Tianjin, China. With over 300 seats, the center will be the fourth such center of Tata in this country after Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou.

The Tianjin center will not just service Chinese companies, but also offer outsourcing service to companies in Japan, the U.S. and Europe.

Meanwhile, also announced was that it had built up an office in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, aiming at the fast growing market in Southern China.

Girija Pande, vice president of Tata, says that the establishment of the new center and office will leverage the advantage of this country over human resources.

Tata set up its first branch in China as early as 2002. Until now, Tata has 1,300 employees in China. It is the first Indian IT company to do business in China.
